Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Our optometrist takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctor:
Dr. Cardoza grew up in Lemoore, CA where she attended Lemoore elementary schools and graduated from Lemoore High School. She then attended the College of the Sequoias and California State University, Fresno. She chose to become an Optometrist because she has always enjoyed helping people and found the field of Optometry to be fascinating after she spent time observing a local Optometrist at work.
She enrolled at the Illinois College of Optometry located in Chicago and graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree. After living in a large city for 4 cold years she missed home and decided to return to the Kings County Area to practice. She joined the Hanford Optometry practice of Dr. J. Brent Madill in February 1985. After over 40 years of providing eye care to the residents of Kings County Dr Madill has retired.
She has been a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association for thirty plus years. She has the distinction of being the first woman member and first woman president of the Tulare-Kings Counties Optometric Society.
She prides herself on providing quality eye care to the residents of our area for 28 years.
